Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a Requisitions Project Engineer to manage M&D Order-To-Remittance project execution and deployments. You will lead technical design, site integration, and hardware installation across multiple locations, serving as the primary technical expert for customers and internal teams.

The role requires 30-50% travel domestically and internationally, and you will generate BOMs, update drawings, and coordinate with drafting teams to ensure timely, compliant project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant discipline.
• 4+ years of experience in IT/engineering, including hands-on field installation of network equipment (servers, routers, firewalls, and switches) and familiarity with industrial control systems.
• Proficiency with Windows and Linux operating systems, and experience with SCADA / DCS protocols, including Modbus, OPC, TCP/IP, and serial communication.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with structured monitoring and quality control practices.
• Comfort operating independently within a highly matrixed, global organization across multiple sites, functions, and time zones.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally (Americas) as required, ~30-50% annually.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools: Visio, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Own technical delivery end-to-end: Lead technical design definition, site integration planning, and hardware installation for M&D platform deployments — including servers, peripheral devices, and associated network infrastructure.
• Be the go-to technical expert: Serve as the primary point of contact for customers and internal teams, leading technical discussions, resolving issues in the field, and ensuring all designs meet industry and company standards.
• Drive documentation and procurement accuracy: Generate BOMs, update drawings, create operating instructions, and issue material requisitions aligned to specifications and timelines.
• Navigate complexity across sites and functions: Coordinate deployments across multiple locations, time zones, and internal teams with monitoring and quality control.
• Show up in the field: Travel to customer sites approximately 30-50% of the time for installations, commissioning, troubleshooting, and testing.
