Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to educate provider offices within a multi-state territory, focusing on access and reimbursement workflows. The role requires travel up to 80% to support physician offices in obtaining coverage for therapies, including buy-and-bill processes and payer policy navigation.

Ideal candidates bring experience in revenue cycle, prior authorization, coding, and a deep understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits.

Qualifications

• Field-based reimbursement and access education to key accounts
• Understand dynamics of Specialty Pharmacy vs Specialty Distribution
• Broad understanding of buy-and-bill vs assignment of benefits
• Experience with revenue cycle, billing, formulary, prior authorization, coding, and appeals
• Deep understanding of medical and pharmacy benefits/policies

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff on logistics for client products, including in-office administration and coverage changes
• Explain payers’ coverage management strategies (coding, billing, formulary, PA, appeals)
• Identify root causes of access or reimbursement issues at provider sites
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites
• Provide information on reimbursement topics based on client approvals
• Perform other duties as assigned
