Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to advance patient access by educating providers on reimbursement and coverage for specialty medications. The role requires up to 50% travel within the Midwest/tri-state territory and close collaboration with payers, pharmacies, and providers.

Ideal candidates have experience with pharmacy benefit reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, and coding, and can educate office staff on payer policies to help patients access medications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience as Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist preferred.
• Experience in healthcare resolving pharmacy benefit access issues.
• Willing to obtain a Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) within six months.

Responsibilities

• Educate providers and their staff on access and reimbursement topics within assigned territories.
• Support patient access by resolving reimbursement and coverage challenges.
• Collaborate with client-provided patient assistance and reimbursement support services.
• Educate staff on payers’ coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization and appeals.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites and offices.
• Travel weekly, including potential overnight stays, to healthcare offices within the territory.
