Job summary

Cencora is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to serve as a subject-matter expert on reimbursement, access, and coverage for specialty medications. The role requires travel to healthcare offices and collaboration with providers, payers, and pharmacies to resolve access barriers.

Ideal candidates will have experience in pharmacy benefit reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals, and outreach within a territory, with willingness to obtain PACS certification within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience in healthcare resolving pharmacy benefit access issues.
• Experience with extensive travel.
• Candidates must be willing to obtain a PACS certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff on insurance issues relevant to the client's product and inform staff of coverage and payer policy changes within assigned territories.
• Educate on payers' coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeal processes.
• Investigate office processes to identify root causes of access or reimbursement issues.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites of service.
• Provide information on reimbursement topics related to our client's products.
