Job summary

Amazon is seeking an experienced engineer to manage maintenance, repair and vendor activities for expanding grocery operations across North America. The role requires up to 50% travel and office work when not traveling, with relocation support available.

The candidate will lead field support for refrigeration sites, oversee large-scale project commissions, and mentor facilities teams while collaborating across departments to standardize equipment and optimize procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years of technical program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple programs/projects across the organization.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and related equipment (compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers).
• Knowledge of mechanical room infrastructure (chillers, cooler units, fan controls).

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for refrigeration sites across assigned geography including operations, field maintenance, and food safety partners.
• Manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously and influence relationships at all organizational levels.
• Oversee the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership and operations teams.
• Be involved in design review and provide guidance on equipment standardization and procurement to leverage scale and reduce costs.
• Travel domestically up to 50%.
• Understand refrigeration systems, troubleshooting, design and repair.
• Familiarity with low-GWP refrigerants, regulatory requirements, and design changes.
• Communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
