Job summary

Amazon is seeking an engineer to drive maintenance, repair and vendor management for grocery expansion across North America, with up to 50% travel and office presence when not traveling. The role requires knowledge of refrigeration systems and ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

The position includes leadership of facilities maintenance teams, involvement in design reviews, and support for scale-up projects across multiple sites, with relocation assistance possibly offered.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical program management experience.
• Experience in managing multiple programs / projects, using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization.
• Knowledge of Refrigeration systems and associated equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers, and piping.
• Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for refrigeration sites across assigned geography including support for operations, field maintenance, and food safety partners.
• Manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels.
• Oversee the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership and operations teams.
• Be involved in design review process across the North American market while providing guidance and professional recommendations on equipment standardization procurement to leverage scale, cost savings opportunities, and to standardize maintenance activities as we continue to expand the business.
• Travel domestically up to 50%.
• Understanding of refrigeration systems, troubleshooting, design, and repair
• Familiarity with low-GWP refrigerants, pending regulatory requirements, and design changes
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences
