Job summary

Amazon in Nashville, TN is seeking an engineer to support maintenance, repair and vendor management for grocery expansion across the North American market. The role requires up to 50% travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling.

You will provide field support for refrigeration sites, oversee multiple projects, mentor maintenance teams, and influence equipment standardization to drive cost savings as we scale the business across North America.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of technical program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple programs/projects with effective time management.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and related equipment (compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers, piping).
• Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure (chillers, cooler units, fan controls).

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for refrigeration sites across assigned geography including support for operations, field maintenance, and food safety partners.
• Manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously and be able to influence and develop relationships at all organization levels.
• Oversee the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership and operations teams.
• Be involved in design review process across the North American market while guiding equipment standardization procurement to leverage scale, cost savings opportunities, and to standardize maintenance activities as we expand the business.
