Job summary

Amazon is seeking an engineer to support maintenance, repair and vendor management for grocery expansion across North America. This role requires up to 50% travel and relocation to a suitable office.

Candidates should live near or be willing to relocate within commuting distance of the office; relocation assistance may be provided. Responsibilities include field support for refrigeration sites, project management, design reviews, and leadership of maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 3+ years of technical program management experience.
• Experience managing multiple programs / projects, using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization.
• Knowledge of Refrigeration systems and associated equipment, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, valves, controllers, and piping.
• Knowledge of generic mechanical room infrastructure such as chillers, cooler units, and fan controls.

Responsibilities

• Provide field support for refrigeration sites across assigned geography including support for operations, field maintenance, and food safety partners
• Manage multiple complex projects and tasks simultaneously as well as be able to influence, and develop relationships at all organization levels.
• Oversee the maintenance acceptance of part of commissioning large-scale, complex projects.
• Provide leadership and mentoring to facilities maintenance leadership and operations teams.
• Be involved in design review process across the North American market while providing guidance and professional recommendations on equipment standardization procurement to leverage scale, cost savings opportunities, and to standardize maintenance activities as we continue to expand the business.
