Job summary

Via in Texas seeks a Quality & Safety Manager to supervise drivers, oversee safety performance, and uphold service standards across our transit operations. This is an in-person role, with field work five days a week, including weekends.

You will lead coaching, incident response, and training programs to ensure DOT compliance and exceptional rider experiences. In this position you will collaborate with the Field Manager to design and deliver hands-on safety training, monitor on‑the‑road

Qualifications

Experience in transit supervision or transportation management.
Proven leadership and mentorship abilities.
Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

Conduct on-the-road supervision, including ride-alongs, to ensure safety and service standards.
Monitor driver interactions and coach on safety protocols.
Partner with Field Manager to provide continuous training.
Deliver hands-on coaching on safety practices and customer service expectations.
Lead post-accident protocols as DER for DOT compliance.
Serve as primary contact for urgent operational issues.
Review complaint reports and training session documentation.
Conduct training needs assessments and implement improvements.
85% on-the-road supervision, 15% training and administrative duties.
