Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC is seeking a Radio Technician to perform installation, maintenance, and repair of communications equipment on job sites.

This role includes configuring radios, GPS, cameras, and ELD devices, with a focus on reliable field operations and timely service records. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in radio tech or automotive wiring, basic 12/24V knowledge, strong troubleshooting, and the ability to travel over 50%.

Qualifications

High school graduate (Education beyond high school preferred).
1-3 years of radio technology installation and service or 1-3 years of automotive wiring.
Basic understanding of 12- & 24-volt systems.
Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to travel greater than 50% of the time.
Ability to work in outdoor weather conditions.
Familiarity with electrical codes, construction safety practices, and blueprints.
Possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Install, configure, test, and maintain communication systems on job sites.
Install, configure, test, and maintain Digital Radios, GPS, Cameras, and ELD devices.
Perform diagnostics tests on communication equipment and systems.
Document and report accurate services records.
Communicate with project managers to ensure that projects remain on schedule and services are completed in a timely fashion.
Provide support to all end users in the field to ensure communication lines are active throughout project progress.
