Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Civil Engineering professional to support liaising between engineering and field operations on a 2000MW pumped storage EPC project in Tempe, AZ. You will help develop constructability plans, coordinate design decisions, and monitor performance to implement improvements.

You will work with a joint venture team on underground waterways, dams, and associated facilities, ensuring conformance to specifications while supporting progress reporting and safety.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of civil construction methods and site practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
• Ability to interpret engineering design documents and vendor submittals.
• Experience in coordinating with field operations and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare construction drawings, sketches, projections and schedules for workforce, material and equipment.
• Plan construction methods and procedures.
• Prepare installation work packages.
• Prepare daily progress reports and keep supervision informed.
• Prepare field change directives to provide current as-built documentation.
• Initiate field purchase requisitions and support material takeoffs.
• Review vendor and subcontractor submittals for conformance.
• Monitor quantity tracking and inspect installed materials.
• Track progress of crews for schedules and cost reports.
• Maintain zero-accident safety practices and site housekeeping.
• Coordinate and resolve construction issues with superintendents.
• Develop ES&H understanding on site.
• Interpret and coordinate engineering solutions with subcontractors and foremen.
• Develop commodity installation and tracking approaches.
• Understand applicable codes and standards.
• Use automation software and processes.
