Job summary

Bechtel in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking an Engineer (Procurement Support) to provide discipline engineering assistance for procurement of civil, mechanical, or electrical equipment and services for the Salt River Project hydroelectric project. You will help prepare technical procurement documentation and coordinate supplier activities.

Under senior procurement engineers, you will ensure deliverables are accurate and on schedule, enabling a strong engineering–procurement interface on a major EPC hydro

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
• 8–10 years of professional engineering experience on infrastructure or EPC projects.
• Experience with procurement documentation: MR, datasheets, and technical specs.
• Knowledge of engineering–procurement interfaces in EPC projects.
• Familiarity with electronic document management systems such as Aconex or ACC.

Responsibilities

• Prepare material requisitions, technical specs, datasheets, and procurement deliverables.
• Coordinate inputs from multiple disciplines for procurement packages.
• Review vendor quotations and supplier submissions for compliance.
• Develop bid comparison matrices and evaluation documentation.
• Monitor procurement deliverables and maintain records in project systems.
