Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the quality control program on a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule, and witness tests, and open and track nonconformances through resolution.

The role requires 3+ years in construction materials testing or related QC, the ability to read specs, and confidently communicate when a lift fails. This is a hands-on path to more senior QC roles.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and translate to a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests as required.
• Verify certifications of technicians performing tests and write daily QC reports.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
