Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Quality Manager I to own the QC program for a single project under a senior quality manager. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, write the daily QC report, and manage nonconformances through to closure.

The role is ideal for someone ready to lead field inspectors toward formal program ownership, with opportunities for advancement to Quality Manager II on larger programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Witness field and laboratory tests; verify technician certifications.
• Write the daily quality control report and three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
