Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager I to own the project quality control program on a single job, under a senior manager. You will manage the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and drive nonconformance resolution to closure on site.

You will document daily QC activities, maintain records, and coordinate with superintendents and engineers. The role requires 3+ years in materials testing and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC.
• One of: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C.
• Read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily QC report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
