Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager I to own the QC program for a single project. You will maintain the ITP, schedule and witness tests, and create the daily QC report. You will open and track nonconformance reports until closure, working with the superintendent and engineer of record.

You will advance from inspector to manager, with sponsorship for needed certifications and growth into the Quality Manager II role on larger programs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and comfortable telling a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log against the specifications; schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests; write the daily QC report and meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record; keep files audit-ready.
• Handle submittal, mix design, and material certification files in an organized, accessible manner.
