Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a CEI Inspector to provide field observation, testing, and measurement services during construction projects.

You will liaison with client, engineer, contractor, utilities, and regulators to verify conformance to plans and specifications for roadway, earthwork, asphalt, and concrete elements. Two years of related inspection experience are required, along with CTQP certifications in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, and related areas.

Qualifications

• Two years of related construction inspection experience; one year in bridge/roadway inspection.
• Understanding of FDOT construction project administration; proficiency with MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird and Site Manager.
• CTQP Certification in Asphalt, Concrete, Earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform field observation, testing and measurement of roadway, earthwork and concrete elements to verify conformance with plans and specs.
• Document quantities and measurements for contractor payment and for review by engineers and auditors.
• Work as part of a team, supporting the Team Leader/Senior Inspector and coordinating with clients and contractors.
