Job summary

England-Thims & Miller, Inc. seeks a CEI Inspector to provide field observation, testing and measurement services as a liaison with clients, engineers, contractors, utilities, and regulators during construction.

The Inspector works with a team to observe, measure, test, and document contractor progress and conformance to plans for roadways, bridges, and related structures. You will read drawings, use survey equipment, and record quantities for contractor payment.

Qualifications

• Two years of related inspection experience, including one year in bridge/roadway inspection.
• Knowledge of FDOT project administration; MAC, BlueBeam, Hummingbird, Site Manager.
• CTQP Certification in asphalt, concrete, earthwork, pile driving and drilled shafts required.

Responsibilities

• Provide field observation, testing and measurement services.
• Observe, measure, and document progress, quality, and quantity of work.
• Perform inspection, testing and material sampling for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Assist Team Leader/Senior Inspector in field duties and reporting.
