Job summary

Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a CEI Inspector for the Fort Pierce area to apply standard inspection procedures for structural quality, safety and conformance to plans, specifications and codes.

Essential qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, FDOT experience, two years in construction inspection (one year on bridges/roadways), and an active driver’s license. CTQP certifications and IMSA Traffic Signal Inspector Level I are recommended within six months.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review plans and interpret site layouts, specifications and construction methods to ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety regulations.
• Performs routine tests on concrete, soils and other materials.
• Measure dimensions and verify level, alignment, and elevation of structures, fixtures, grades and pavement to ensure compliance with plans and codes.
• Gathers and maintains record documents and field notes.
• Receive supervision from Senior Inspector and assist in duties as assigned.
