Job summary

ABB, a global leader in electrification and automation, is seeking a Field Quality Engineer to drive local quality strategy across Houston-area customer sites. You will champion prevention, continuous improvement, and rapid problem resolution through data-driven analysis and cross-functional collaboration.

You will work in the field, visiting various customer sites in the Houston, TX metro area, and report to the Quality & Operational Excellence Leader.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent education and experience.
• 2+ years of prior quality engineering experience.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment drawings, weld docs, test records.

Responsibilities

• Support communication related to quality management in your area of responsibility.
• Identify and address risks and opportunities related to quality management in the local organization.
• Utilize quality data analytics to identify risks, failures, and non-conformances.
• Facilitate resolution of customer cases by root cause analysis and corrective actions.
