Job summary

Integra is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer in Houston, TX to ensure quality and reliability of data center equipment from supplier qualification through production and delivery. You will drive supplier audits, onboarding, inspection, and continuous improvement in collaboration with engineering and procurement.

The role requires 3–7 years in supplier or quality engineering, strong root cause analysis, ISO 9001 knowledge, and the ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing engineering, quality engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in supplier quality, manufacturing quality, or quality engineering.
• Knowledge in metal fabrication, welding, pressure testing, mechanical testing, electrical assemblies, hardware, or data center infrastructure preferred.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical/electrical drawings.
• Proficiency in root cause analysis and effective corrective actions.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build supplier relationships.
• Able to travel domestically and internationally 10–30%.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site supplier audits and provide approval recommendations to the Supplier Quality Manager and Procurement teams.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers with clear communication of specifications and inspection requirements.
• Inspect and test electrical and mechanical equipment (MV/LV switchgear, UPS, batteries, chillers, generators, pumps, valves, spools).
• Monitor supplier nonconformances, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
• Lead containment and disposition for nonconformances; ensure effectiveness of actions.
