Job summary

R-2 Contractors is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Field Quality Control Representative to support quality assurance on power, renewable energy, transmission, and substation projects across the United States. This field-based role ensures construction aligns with project specs, company standards, and industry regulations while collaborating with field operations for quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of field QC/QA experience on heavy civil or utility-scale projects
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods and underground utilities
• Experience interpreting plans, specs, and testing requirements
• Knowledge of ASTM/AASHTO standards
• Ability to travel nationwide and work extended hours

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections to verify work meets specs and standards
• Coordinate material and field testing including third-party inspection
• Document inspection results and quality records
• Identify quality issues and support corrective actions
• Promote culture of quality and safety on site
