Job summary

R-2 Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Utility-Scale Field Quality Control Representative to ensure quality on power, renewable energy, transmission, and substation projects across the United States.

This field-based role performs inspections, verifies workmanship, coordinates testing, and maintains quality documentation to promote excellence. Based on project needs, you will travel nationwide to active sites, lead by example with our core values, and collaborate with superintendents,

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of quality control/assurance or field construction experience in heavy civil/utilities/renewables.
• Experience reading/interpret­ing project plans, specs, and testing requirements.
• Proven ability to coordinate testing agencies and inspectors.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily field inspections to verify conformance with plans, specs, and quality standards.
• Inspect heavy civil works, foundations, trenching, and HDD activities.
• Verify layouts, elevations, grades, and tolerances before acceptance.
• Coordinate material testing and third-party inspections.
• Document inspection results and corrective actions; maintain quality records.
• Identify quality issues early and work with teams to resolve them.
• Support implementation of project QC Plans and turnover requirements.
• Participate in customer meetings, audits, and project inspections.
