Job summary

Caliber seeks an experienced leader to mentor repair technicians and manage center operations in TX. The role requires extensive hands-on repair experience, OEM knowledge, and the ability to drive process improvements.

Occasional travel up to 30% will be needed as part of coordinating with executive and field leadership. The candidate should have a strong safety and quality mindset, be proficient with repair equipment, and hold relevant certifications such as I-CAR Structural Platinum.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience as a Non-Structural and Structural technician.
  • Proficiency with collision repair equipment and diagnostic instruments.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be eligible for coverage under the company insurance policy.
  • Maintain or acquire I-CAR Structural Platinum certification.
  • Basic working knowledge of CCC One, Estimating Systems and Alldata.
  • Basic computer skills and a working knowledge of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • In-depth knowledge of OEM repair procedures and specifications.
  • Maintain a minimum standard of continuing education annually to stay abreast of industry and coaching best practices.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with others, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

  • Mentor repair technicians, estimators, and management to ensure Caliber standards of quality per OEM specifications.
  • Use third-party software to file reports on accurate completion of repairs to OE standards.
  • Follow up with center teammates regarding repairs in person or via conference calls.
  • Recommend and coordinate necessary training for areas of need based on quality reviews.
  • Partner with the executive team and field leadership to align objectives.
  • Complete facility inspections and submit reports using third-party software; take photos of shop, tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Recommend repair or replacement of tools, equipment, and materials as necessary; propose training on tools and equipment.
  • Review reports with Center and Operations Leadership for accountability and management of Parts, Center Systems/Processes, Equipment and Training verification.
  • Maintain a reporting structure to monitor performance indicators and certification eligibility.
  • Create actionable plans to improve processes and procedures with defined metrics and deliverables.
  • Align top-down vision and goals from business strategy to center objectives.
  • Optimize center performance across the company for best value.
  • Coordinate with OE Certification Team to verify equipment, tools, and training needs for teammates.
  • Up to 30% travel required.
