Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Mobile, AL seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the QC program on a field project. You will maintain the inspection and test plan (ITP), schedule and witness tests, and produce daily QC reports, ensuring nonconformances are tracked to resolution.

You will open NCRs, coordinate with the engineer of record, and keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing, special inspection, or contractor QC.
• Hold one of: ACI Grade I, NICET Level II, ICC special inspector, or USACE CQM-C certificate.
• Able to read specifications and drawings and turn them into a test schedule.
• Direct, organized, and able to tell a superintendent that a lift does not pass.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan (ITP) and the testing frequency log.
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests.
• Verify certifications of the technicians performing tests.
• Write the daily quality control report and the three-phase meeting records.
• Open, track, and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent and engineer of record.
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready.
