Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager I to own the quality control program for a single project under a senior quality manager. You will keep the inspection and test plan current, schedule and witness tests, and write the daily QC report, while tracking nonconformances to closure.

You will be the first management seat for a field inspector or technician who understands failing tests and wants to own the program. Opportunities to grow into higher levels exist.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in construction materials testing or QC on a project
• Ability to read specifications and drawings and translate them into a test schedule
• Comfortable directing a superintendent that a lift does not pass and owning the NCR process

Responsibilities

• Maintain the project inspection and test plan and testing frequency log
• Schedule and witness field and laboratory tests
• Verify certifications of technicians and write the daily QC report
• Open, track and close nonconformance reports with the superintendent
• Keep submittal, mix design, and material certification files audit-ready
