Job description

POSITION SUMMARY: The ES Field Project Managers are responsible for exercising independent judgment and discretion while executing all aspects of field service project management duties at client sites/facilities. They ensure the successful acquisition, performance, and completion of projects. Serve as the main point of contact to ensure contractual requirements and work scopes are met in the field, with a focus on health and safety. They review field tasks, develop safety procedures, assess training and certifications, and ensure compliance with safety procedures. They escalate issues, report daily activity, and manage resources either personally or through onsite field service leads.

Principle Responsibilities
  1. Manage all aspects of project management including contract management, quality control, supervision, accounting, health & safety, and resource management.
  2. Oversee proposal preparation, review contracts, and negotiate changes.
  3. Perform scope of work development, safety plans, waste characterization, shipping, and documentation.
  4. Create and monitor purchase orders and budgets to ensure profitability.
  5. Coordinate proposal activities with sales and proposal specialists.
  6. Work with management to meet annual budgets.
  7. Prepare project invoices, ensure accuracy, and follow up on payments.
  8. Develop data and reports for customers.
  9. Monitor subcontractor services and review change-orders.
  10. Collaborate with sales to propose compliant customer solutions.
  11. Participate in marketing efforts and new business development.
  12. Ensure proper operation and maintenance of company vehicles and equipment.
  13. Ensure accurate financial reporting and submit timely reports.
  14. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; in Geology, Environmental Science, or related field if required by customer contract.
  • Knowledge of computer skills and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of environmental waste industry regulations.
  • Effective communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and collaboration skills.
  • Financial management skills and safety knowledge.
  • Technical aptitude and detail orientation.
  • Ability to work under pressure and exercise independent judgment.
Minimum Requirements
  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, TSCA regulations, gained through 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of field-related work or environmental investigations.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Availability for on-site work with customers and in-office duties as assigned.
