Job Summary

The Field Project Manager contributes to maximizing the success and performance of their assigned area(s) and is responsible for all project scope changes, project schedule, project costs, and the project life cycle. They oversee and manage the project life cycle and schedule from start to finish, track and direct all field activities for subcontractors and third-party vendors, obtain permits and equipment required to complete projects, perform quality control inspections, and ensure all punch list items are completed timely. They also assist with purchasing and delivering materials to job sites and support vendor management in recruiting and managing vendors.

Responsibilities
  • Manage clients and vendors within the assigned area.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Meet weekly with the area manager to discuss market status and needs.
  • Monitor performance and goals to ensure expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients.
  • Provide updates and reports on field activities.
  • Identify and select vendors meeting company standards.
  • Negotiate pricing with local vendors.
  • Attend market meetings to address vendor needs and project status.
  • Communicate pricing updates regularly.
  • Provide weekly and monthly vendor condition reports.
  • Perform handyman or maintenance duties as needed to advance or close projects.
  • Improve product specifications and upsell to clients where applicable.
  • Resolve field-related disputes professionally.
Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field, or at least 3 years of experience in home rehab and multi-unit facilities.
  • Experience in Residential Construction Management.
  • Residential Restoration experience is a plus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with estimating, project scheduling, and rehab project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, labor costs, and materials.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal building codes and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of flooring, appliances, landscaping, roofing, repairs/rehab, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
  • Insurance claims experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Xactimate, Symbility, Eagleview is desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite.
  • Ability to manage a minimum of 10 properties simultaneously.
  • Availability to work weekends as necessary.
  • Ability to work efficiently, independently, and multi-task.
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish is a plus.
Physical Demands
  • Walking around construction sites, climbing stairs or ladders, navigating various areas.
  • Manual tasks requiring physical effort, such as moving items or assisting with setup.
  • Lifting heavy materials and equipment.
  • Using telephone and email for communication.
  • Communicating orally with clients and team members.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Manual dexterity for operating office equipment.
  • Strong reasoning, organizational, and analytical skills.
Work Environment

The role involves significant outdoor work on construction sites, often in noisy and busy environments, under various weather conditions. Some time will be spent in a home office setting, with regular travel between sites using a vehicle.
