Job summary

Balfour Beatty US is seeking an Assistant Superintendent in Santa Ana, CA to support the Superintendent in the special projects group, coordinating subcontractors and supervising laborers and craft workers on site.

You will monitor work performance, progress and productivity, assist in cost tracking per contract documents, and oversee teams to meet company standards and owner expectations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of field interior or commercial construction experience.
• One year of direct supervisory experience.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office tools.
• Experience with Theme Park, healthcare, TI, Public works, or school campus projects preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Superintendent in coordinating subcontractors and supervising laborers and trade workers on site.
• Monitor work performance, progress and productivity of subcontractors and craft workers.
• Assist in monitoring costs as specified in contract documents.
• Directly oversee the performance of workers to meet company standards and owner expectations.
• Support project start-up, scheduling and administration through close-out.
