Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction, our Orange County office, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager with administrative and technical requirements for construction projects in Santa Ana, CA. You will assist in contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, and project financials to ensure quality, profitability, safety, and timely delivery.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in construction offices or field roles, supervisory experience, and proficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required for the role.
• At least 5 years of construction office or field experience in a related role.
• 1 year or more of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with project management software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing project financials and cost control efforts.
• Support preconstruction coordination and planning activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules to meet milestones.
• Handle project administration, operations, and close-out tasks.
• Promote strong customer and community relations throughout the project.
• Support leadership development and foster a positive team culture.
