Job summary

Balfour Beatty US in the Los Angeles area is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the Project Manager in all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects.

This role assists in contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials, setup and updates, and schedule to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 5+ years of construction office or field commercial experience in a Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager role.
• 1-year or more of direct supervisory experience.
• Experience with project manager software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.).
• Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports.
• Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction application(s).

Responsibilities

• Assists in contract administration, change orders, submittals, and procurement.
• Supports project financials, setup and updates, and scheduling tasks.
• Ensures projects are completed with quality, profitability, safety, sustainability and timeliness.
• Maintains focus on meeting customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager.
• Fosters positive culture, leadership and employee development.
