Utilities One seeks a qualified Field Project Manager to lead operations on site in Rock Island, IL. You will review project scope, coordinate with vendors and internal teams, manage locates, permits, and scheduling, and ensure safety and quality in all field activities.

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential for success. As the on-site leader, you will oversee field execution, document production, and collaborate with management and clients to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted driver's license required.
• Strong knowledge of aerial and underground design and construction requirements.
• Ability to read maps, drawings and diagrams for fiber construction.
• Ability to travel to different job sites within the assigned market.
• Ability to lift around 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in extreme weather.

Responsibilities

• Review assigned projects for scope, constructability, and sequencing.
• Conduct pre-construction walkouts with vendors and internal teams.
• Verify locate ticket status and ensure valid locates are in place prior to excavation.
• Issue required 48-hour notices.
• Coordinate specialty services (GPR, core drilling, line adjustments, FDOT scheduling).
• Confirm permits, traffic control requirements (MOT), and jurisdictional approvals.
• Identify potential field conflicts early and coordinate resolution with engineering and management.
• Meet with foremen/vendors daily to review work plans, expectations, and job sequencing.
• Monitor GPM check-ins and ensure production is accurately entered and updated.
• Enforce crew documentation, certifications, equipment readiness, and adherence to methods.
• Coordinate daily MOT needs and communicate requirements to management.
• Conduct ongoing site inspections to verify quality and adherence to plans.
• Ensure safety regulations and PPE compliance; perform QA/QC checks.
• Ensure timely completion of production units (gigs).
• Escalate critical concerns when necessary.
• Submit required daily and project reporting (EOS, damage reports, MOT updates, QA/QC).
• Represent the company as the on-site operational leader.
