Job summary

Rototec LLC is seeking a Field Project Manager to lead geothermal drilling projects in the Northeast. You will coordinate site prep, drilling operations, equipment, and field crews from planning through completion.

We provide training in geothermal drilling and Rototec's methods. This role requires traveling to project sites across the Northeast and working with management, customers, engineers, and contractors.

Qualifications

• Approximately 2–5 years of experience in construction, mechanical contracting, drilling, excavation, utilities, heavy equipment, field service, project coordination, or related environment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in equipment and how things work.
• Experience working on active construction sites.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• The confidence to communicate with field crews, contractors, customers, and management.
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to make practical decisions in the field.
• Willingness to learn new equipment, technology, construction methods, and geothermal drilling practices.
• Basic ability to read construction drawings and specifications, or the aptitude to learn.
• A valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Willingness to travel regularly throughout the Northeast.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day activities on geothermal drilling projects, including site preparation, drilling operations, materials, equipment, and field crews.
• Review project plans, specifications, schedules, and scope of work.
• Help plan upcoming work and ensure crews, equipment, and materials are ready when needed.
• Monitor project progress, schedules, costs, and quality.
• Communicate with customers, general contractors, mechanical contractors, engineers, and other project partners.
• Coordinate with field crews to keep projects moving safely and efficiently.
• Identify project issues early and develop practical solutions with the team.
• Participate in jobsite meetings and communicate project updates to management.
• Assist with project documentation, daily reports, drilling records, and change documentation.
• Help ensure work meets project specs and customer requirements.
• Support jobsite safety meetings, inspections, and risk assessments.
• Monitor equipment needs and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and construction requirements.
• Travel to project sites throughout the Northeast as required.
