Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a high school degree/GED with two years journeyman electrician experience, or a Bachelor's degree with two years related experience, or seven years of relevant combined education/experience.
• Some positions may require RG (rubber glove) practices.
• Strong knowledge of APS policies, environmental regulations, and OSHA standards.
• Good communications and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Serve as liaison with customers (internal/external) on various projects and ensure requirements are understood and met.
• Coordinate resources for construction projects to keep multiple crews staffed and track contract expenditures.
• Order project materials with a 2–3 day lead time to ensure timely delivery to sites.
• May oversee garage activities and maintain vehicle records.
• Perform design duties for simple projects and assist with complex designs.
• Ensure safety and efficient operation of sub-transmission and distribution systems during duty supervisor rotations.
• Resolve differences by clear communication and interpretation of policies and labor agreements.
• Serve as environmental point of contact, manage hazardous materials communications and training records.
• Coordinate trench, panel inspections and after-hours duties; manage warehouse/hauling and maintenance orders.
• Promote safety and conduct inspections to ensure adherence to procedures.
