Job summary

Agilent in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a senior field-based Project Manager to lead or support large, integrated laboratory service projects from start to finish. You will be onsite at customer labs across North America, coordinating multi-vendor activities and ensuring high-quality execution.

The role requires extensive travel (up to 50%), strong PM skills, and a proven ability to manage scope, schedule, and budgets while communicating clearly with customers and internal teams to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 8+ years in relevant roles, including 5+ years customer-facing field PM.
• Experience applying project management methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with external customers.
• Experience with data tools/reporting systems.
• Experience managing equipment manufacturers and third-party service providers.
• Experience in busy laboratory environments, instrument service, or equipment maintenance.
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively (often 50%+) and stay on-site during critical phases.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site project execution, including vendor coordination and equipment activities.
• Monitor progress, resolve issues in real time, and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
• Support solution design, scope development, and proposal activities.
• Develop and maintain project plans (scope, schedule, budget, resources).
• Coordinate with customers and stakeholders to align expectations and execution.
• Deliver CrossLab solutions, including laboratory relocations, consulting, and 3D lab design, while leading meetings and maintaining documentation.
