Job summary

Adolfson & Peterson Construction is seeking a Project/Field Engineer for our Dallas office. You will work with Project Managers and Superintendents to review, analyze, and resolve field construction issues, and develop reports, schedules, and analyses for project scopes.

You will liaison with subcontractors and client representatives to ensure smooth execution. Requires a degree in CM/Engineering/Architecture or related experience, proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and Prolog,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field, or relevant construction experience.
• Familiarity with design, estimating, and/or field supervision preferred.
• Able to read and interpret building plans and specs, safety standards.
• Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, Primavera, and Prolog.
• Exposure to value engineering and lifecycle costing preferred.
• OSHA 10 or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Take personal responsibility for safety in an incident- and injury-free culture.
• Interpret plans, detail sheets and specs for contractors and supervisors.
• Review shop drawings before issuance to subcontractors.
• Collaborate to create subcontractor agreements.
• Verify and maintain exterior/interior grade lines for contractors.
• Monitor purchase requests, field orders, change orders and architectural instructions.
• Review, verify and submit team time sheets.
• Update stakeholders on project metrics, progress and costs.
• Coordinate project progress, costs, budgets and cash flow.
• Assist with project plan reviews for constructability and cost feasibility.
• Monitor schedules and contribute to problem resolution and schedule updates.
• Work with the project team to ensure timely, quality client results.
• Assist with bids, estimates, change orders and punch lists.
• Support safety program implementation and compliance.
• Maintain quality management programs and liaison with clients and subs.
• Help with pre-bid conferences and progress meetings.
