Job summary

Edwards Vacuum LLC in Austin, TX seeks a Project Engineer to manage design documentation, product development and field service activities. You will coordinate projects, assist site operations, and support troubleshooting at customer sites, reporting to the Field Service Manager.

The role emphasizes developing new ideas, improving electro-mechanical vacuum systems, and building tools. A 2-year industry background and a Bachelor’s in engineering are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with interpreting mechanical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Experience in design/customization of electro-mechanical vacuum systems.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office tools.
• Desire experience in designing and building tools including robotic lifting tools, assembly tools, special purpose tools, measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage documentation for products, including design reviews and revision updates.
• Lead and coordinate customer and internal projects, installations and programs.
• Provide technical support to site operations and assist service and customer technicians with troubleshooting.
• Support installation and commissioning of Samsung products.
• Identify future improvements, sales opportunities and customer value.
