Job summary

Kent Companies' National Mission Critical Division is seeking a Project Engineer to support field teams under the General Superintendent and Project Manager on assigned projects nationwide. You will assist with budgets, cost to complete, start-up, and monthly revenue projections while ensuring field work aligns with drawings and specifications.

You will travel nationally up to 100% as needed and collaborate across QC, submittals, and coordination with subs to maintain project performance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or construction science and 1 to 3 years of experience in the construction industry is preferred but not required.
• OSHA 30-hour certification, highly preferred.
• Understanding of cost management processes, planning, and scheduling.
• Practical written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; reliable transportation to work locations.
• Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Assist the field project team with RFIs, submittals, overlays/change orders, field communications, and site visits.
• Develop and monitor QC checklists, testing, and punch list coordination to ensure conformance with drawings and specs.
• Set up project spreadsheets and gather subcontractor information for project managers.
• Track labor weekly and support cost reporting and revenue projections.
