Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will manage field engineering activities including inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, development of ITPs, contractor walkthroughs, bid reviews, and vendor selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams to complete projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and according to specifications. Success metrics include safety performance, cost control, schedule adherence, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, work permits, safety meetings, audits, and incidents.
  • Inspect received materials and manage non-conformities and custody transfer.
  • Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to meet project scope and goals.
  • Expedite deliveries and manage communication logs.
  • Develop and monitor construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  • Respond promptly to RFIs, manage changes, and track action items.
  • Support contract administration and dispute resolution.
  • Maintain comprehensive project knowledge to support or substitute for the Project Manager when needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects (a plus)
  • Industrial gas experience (a plus)
