Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will manage field engineering activities, including inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, developing ITPs, contractor walkthroughs, bid reviews, and selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams, ensuring safety, schedule, cost, and quality objectives are met in accordance with plans and specifications.

  • Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety meetings, audits, and events.
  • Verify receipt and inspection of materials, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to meet project goals and scope coverage.
  • Expedite deliveries and manage communication logs with external partners.
  • Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays promptly.
  • Respond to RFIs and support project execution plans.
  • Maintain effective communication within the project team.
  • Support contract administration and manage change logs and escalation processes.
  • Close action items and maintain project knowledge to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  • Contribute to development of construction and commissioning strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects (a plus)
  • Industrial gas experience (a plus)
