Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform management of field engineering, inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and oversee site construction and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives, safety, schedule, cost, and quality standards are met.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serving as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  2. Overseeing safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety meetings, audits, and events.
  3. Managing receipt and inspection of materials, handling non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  4. Managing project documents to ensure quality and adherence to specifications.
  5. Managing external/internal suppliers and ensuring scope coverage and timely delivery.
  6. Developing and managing construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  7. Responding to RFIs promptly, ideally within 48 hours.
  8. Following and updating the project execution plan.
  9. Maintaining effective communication within the project team.
  10. Supporting contract administration and resolving contractual disputes.
  11. Tracking and approving changes, maintaining change logs.
  12. Closing out action items and maintaining project knowledge to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  13. Contributing to construction and commissioning strategies during project development.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience managing projects
  • Industrial gas experience
