Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform field engineering management, inspections, construction and commissioning management, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and support site construction and commissioning teams to meet project objectives, safety, cost, schedule, and quality standards.

Responsibilities include:
  • Serving as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Overseeing safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety meetings, audits, and events.
  • Managing receipt and inspection of materials, handling non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Managing project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and specifications.
  • Managing external/internal suppliers, including EPCM contractors, to meet project scope and goals.
  • Expediting suppliers to meet delivery goals.
  • Maintaining communication logs with external partners.
  • Developing and managing construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  • Responding promptly to RFIs and ensuring project execution plans are followed.
  • Managing field communication, supporting contract administration, tracking changes, and closing action items.
  • Maintaining knowledge of all project aspects to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  • Influencing construction and commissioning execution strategies during development.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience managing projects
  • Industrial gas industry experience
