Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will manage field engineering, inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and oversee site construction and commissioning teams to ensure project objectives are met in terms of safety, cost, schedule, and quality.

Responsibilities include:
  1. Serving as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  2. Overseeing safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety meetings, audits, and events.
  3. Inspecting materials and equipment, managing non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  4. Managing project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and specifications are met.
  5. Managing and challenging external/internal suppliers to meet project goals and scope.
  6. Expediting suppliers to meet delivery goals.
  7. Maintaining communication logs with external partners.
  8. Developing and managing construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  9. Responding promptly to RFIs, managing project execution plans, and maintaining communication plans.
  10. Supporting contract administration and dispute resolution.
  11. Tracking and approving changes, maintaining change logs.
  12. Closing action items and maintaining project knowledge for potential PM coverage.
  13. Contributing to construction and commissioning strategies during project development.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects
  • Industrial gas experience
