Job Description Summary

The Field Project Engineer will perform Field Engineering management, including field inspections, construction, commissioning management, FAT at vendor workshops, developing ITPs, contractor walkthroughs, bid reviews, and selection. The role involves leading site construction and commissioning teams to complete site activities per project objectives, priorities, contracts, and engineering plans, focusing on safety, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for construction and commissioning management.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety analyses, toolbox talks, audits, and HSES events.
  • Verify receipt and inspection of materials and equipment, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Manage all project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Manage external/internal suppliers, including EPCM, to meet project goals and scope.
  • Expedite suppliers to meet delivery goals.
  • Maintain communication logs with external partners.
  • Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
  • Respond promptly to RFIs, manage project execution plans, and coordinate communication.
  • Support contract administration and manage change logs and escalation processes.
  • Ensure timely closure of action items and maintain project knowledge to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  • Contribute to development of construction and commissioning strategies, including contracting, reviews, and qualification processes.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
  • Experience managing projects (a plus)
  • Industrial gas experience (a plus)
