Job Description:

The Field Project Engineer will perform management of field engineering, inspections, construction, commissioning, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and support site activities to meet project objectives, priorities, contracts, and specifications. Success is measured by safety, cost, schedule, and quality.

  • Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning.
  • Oversee safety compliance, including site orientation, permits, safety analyses, toolbox talks, audits, and events.
  • Verify receipt and inspection of materials, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
  • Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and specifications.
  • Manage external/internal suppliers, ensuring scope coverage and project goals.
  • Expedite deliveries and maintain communication logs.
  • Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, report delays.
  • Manage construction and pre-commissioning activities, respond to RFIs promptly.
  • Follow and update the project execution plan.
  • Manage communication among project partners.
  • Support contract administration and handle contractual disputes.
  • Track and approve changes, maintain change logs.
  • Close action items timely and update project knowledge.
  • Maintain knowledge to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
  • Contribute to strategy development during project development phases.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • High School Diploma
  • 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred:

  • BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university
  • Experience managing projects
  • Industrial gas experience
