Job summary

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Purchasing Specialist based at the Port Arthur LNG Project Site to lead the formation, award, and administration of purchase orders, rental agreements, and related commercial arrangements supporting field execution.

The role requires extensive construction supply chain experience and strong knowledge across heavy equipment, tools, scaffolding, formwork, rigging, and consumables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or international equivalent, plus substantial relevant experience.
• Experience in procurement formation, administration, and closeout for PO and rental agreements.
• Strong commercial judgment for high-risk commitments with schedule impacts.

Responsibilities

• Lead formation, award, and administration of field purchase orders, rental agreements, and related commercial arrangements.
• Coordinate with Equipment Operations, Construction, Engineering, Finance, AP and suppliers to forecast demand and secure commitments.
• Monitor vendor performance and support negotiations on terms, prices, and delivery schedules.
