Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Purchasing Specialist for the Port Arthur LNG project site in Texas. The role leads the creation, award, and administration of purchase orders, rental agreements, and related commercial arrangements to support field execution.

Qualifications

Requires bachelor's degree and 8–10 years of relevant experience or 12–14 years without degree.
Experience in procurement formation, administration, and closeout for purchase orders and rentals.
Knowledge of construction equipment, tools, scaffolding, formwork, rigging, and related field support requirements.

Responsibilities

Form and administer field equipment, tools, and consumables purchases and rentals.
Monitor vendor performance and coordinate input from procurement and operations.
Participate in negotiations of terms and conditions; involve legal when needed.
Track commitments and manage field equipment rental extensions with construction.
Ensure timely payment to vendors in collaboration with AP and construction.
