Job summary

Green Office Partner in Chicago, IL seeks a Printer/Copier Technician for on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and network configurations across multi-function printer fleets.

You will travel within the Chicagoland area, perform break-fix work on AltaLink/VersaLink devices, configure LANs, and support onboarding with Senior Field Engineers.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–5 years of field service experience repairing office copiers/printers.
• Active Xerox ConnectKey AltaLink/ VersaLink certifications or equivalent training.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proficient with LAN basics (IP, subnets, gateways, print queues).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Ability to route and commute across Chicagoland.
• Commitment to high First-Time Fix Rate (FTFR) and quick response.
• Safety-conscious with onboarding and training participation.

Responsibilities

• Provide break-fix, mechanical adjustments, and electrical part replacements on Xerox AltaLink and VersaLink fleets.
• Diagnose and swap core electro-photographic components (fuser, rollers, belts, trays).
• Configure LAN settings and print queues on customer networks.
• Deploy and troubleshoot scan-to-folder/SMTP/SMB protocols.
• Coordinate inventory, parts allocation, and field onboarding activities.
• Shadow Senior Field Engineers during onboarding and training.
• Maintain FTFR targets and respond to dispatches within 4 hours.
• Keep car-stock variance below 2% with meticulous logging.
