Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor to oversee the home infusion pharmacy operations and ensure safe, compliant pharmaceutical care for patients. The role coordinates with nursing, delivery, and reimbursement teams to optimize patient outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy with an active license and 3–5 years in a clean room or infusion setting (or 2 years plus residency). Excellent leadership and MS Office proficiency are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacy license as granted by the State Board of Pharmacy.
• 3–5 years of infusion pharmacy or clean room experience, or 2 years with ASHP residency or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and manages appropriate patient care in home care.
• Directs daily activities of the pharmacy department to meet pharmaceutical care needs.
• Oversees regulatory requirements for an alternate site pharmacy; may act as PIC per state law.
• Ensures staff are trained to use computers and admixture devices and protect patient confidentiality.
• Supports sales and management by educating on available services and engaging with managed care.
• Oversees purchases, management and security of medications and supplies per formulary.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacotherapy care plans.
• Monitors data to adjust care plans and assess lab values for patients.
• Ensures medications are prepared and dispensed per policies; equipment calibrated.
• Provides in-service education to physicians, nurses, and pharmacy staff.
• Manages pharmacy staff workload and coordinates on-call responsibilities.
