Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor in Riverside, CA to lead the pharmacy department and ensure safe home-care medication services. The role coordinates care with nursing, delivery, and reimbursement teams while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, manage purchasing and inventory, and design patient-specific pharmacotherapy plans for home care patients, using pharmacokinetic principles and lab data to adjust therapy as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
• Current, active Pharmacy license.
• 3–5 years in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and manages appropriate patient care. Determines suitability of patients for home care.
• Directs the daily activities of the pharmacy department to meet pharmaceutical-care needs.
• Oversees state and federal regulatory requirements for an alternate site pharmacy.
• Ensures staff is trained to use computers and admixture devices, safeguarding confidentiality.
• Offers education to physicians, nurses and pharmacists on home care services.
• Manages purchasing, inventory and security of medications and supplies.
• Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacy care plans for home care patients.
• Modifies care plans based on monitoring data and patient information.
• Ensures medications are prepared and dispensed according to policies; equipment calibrated.
• Provides in-service education to practitioners on home care pharmacy issues.
• Manages pharmacy staff workload and workflow; coordinates on-call responsibilities.
