Job summary

Option Care Health is seeking a Pharmacy Supervisor in Riverside, CA to lead the pharmacy department and ensure safe home-care medication services. The role coordinates care with nursing, delivery, and reimbursement teams while maintaining regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, manage purchasing and inventory, and design patient-specific pharmacotherapy plans for home care patients, using pharmacokinetic principles and lab data to adjust therapy as needed.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy.
Current, active Pharmacy license.
3–5 years in a clean room or infusion pharmacy setting, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Delivers and manages appropriate patient care. Determines suitability of patients for home care.
Directs the daily activities of the pharmacy department to meet pharmaceutical-care needs.
Oversees state and federal regulatory requirements for an alternate site pharmacy.
Ensures staff is trained to use computers and admixture devices, safeguarding confidentiality.
Offers education to physicians, nurses and pharmacists on home care services.
Manages purchasing, inventory and security of medications and supplies.
Designs and monitors patient-specific pharmacy care plans for home care patients.
Modifies care plans based on monitoring data and patient information.
Ensures medications are prepared and dispensed according to policies; equipment calibrated.
Provides in-service education to practitioners on home care pharmacy issues.
Manages pharmacy staff workload and workflow; coordinates on-call responsibilities.
